Ingredients
  

Dried Mix
  • 1 box jiffy cornbread mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup cooked sausage (optional)
  • 0.5 cup dried cranberries (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare cornbread according to package and bake until golden.
  2. Melt butter, sauté celery and onion until soft.
  3. Crumble cornbread into a bowl, add sautéed vegetables, broth, herbs, pepper, and optional ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Transfer to a greased dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy on top.

Notes

Feel free to add more herbs or cranberries for extra flavor.
