- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan.
- Mix sweet potato puree, vegetable oil, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Mix softened cream cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla to make frosting. Spread over cooled cake.
