Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch pan.
- Combine cranberries with 1/4 cup sugar; set aside.
- Cream butter with remaining sugar; add eggs, vanilla, and almond extracts.
- Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt; fold in cranberries and nuts.
- Pour batter into pan, bake 25-30 mins, cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a splash of orange juice to the cranberries.
