  • 1/2 cup oil or melted butter or 1 stick (1/2 cup) melted butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease small baking pan (8x8).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oil or melted butter, cocoa and sugar. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix until combined.
  4. Add flour and salt, and mix until combined.
  5. Spread batter in greased or lined pan.
  6. Bake at 350F for 18-20 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center returns clean.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them. Let them cool completely before cutting for cleaner slices.
