This easy dump-and-bake meatball casserole is a hearty and satisfying dinner. Simply combine all ingredients in a baking dish and let the oven do the work!

  • 1 jar marinara sauce (24 ounce)
  • 1 can cannellini beans drained and rinsed (15 ounce)
  • 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed (15 ounce)
  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed (15 ounce)
  • 1 package frozen meatballs (16 ounce)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Combine marinara sauce, cannellini beans, kidney beans, and chickpeas in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Stir in the frozen meatballs, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the meatballs are heated through.
  8. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a spicier casserole, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
