  • 1 pound ground beef browned and drained
  • 1 jar pizza sauce (15 ounce)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounce)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 package pasta (16 ounce) cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup beef pepperoni slices

Method
 

  1. Combine beef, pizza sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Stir in cooked pasta until well coated.
  3. Pour half of the pasta mixture into a greased crockpot.
  4. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the beef pepperoni slices. Add any optional toppings.
  5. Pour the remaining pasta mixture over the cheese and beef pepperoni.
  6. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and beef pepperoni slices. Add any remaining optional toppings.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or on high for 1.5-2 hours, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
