Ingredients
  

Green Beans
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Blanch green beans for 5 minutes, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter. Sauté onions, mushrooms, and garlic until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Mix sautéed vegetables, green beans, mushroom soup, milk, half the cheese, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese and fried onions, then bake for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Let cool briefly before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of soy sauce or hot sauce to the mixture.
