Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced apples (about 6 medium apples)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix apples, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  3. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly. Spread over apples.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.
