  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Melt butter until golden brown and nutty. Cool slightly.
  2. Whisk together brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  3. Beat in eggs, then vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets.
  9. Roll dough into balls and place on baking sheets.
  10. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool on baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra chewy cookies, underbake slightly. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
