Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
- Melt butter, stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread in pan.
- Bake until top is dry and edges pull away, about 25-30 minutes. Cool briefly.
- Combine frosting ingredients in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Frost warm brownies.
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them. Let them cool completely before cutting.
